While there have been rumblings of discontent in some quarters of Hong Kong, former British Crown Colony and present Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, it still hasn’t quite made a worrying dent in one of its leading international industries: tourism. People still travel there for a more urban-centered vacation, buying local products, sampling the world-famous cuisine, and even visiting Hong Kong Disneyland. It’s therefore a no-brainer that Hong Kong would have the finest in traveler accommodation that they can offer to the world. One of them can be found in the Tsim Tsa Tsui area of Kowloon, an impressive skyscraper that holds true to their promise of giving their guests their own “Personal View of Hong Kong”. This is the Hotel Panorama.
Managed by Rhombus International Hotels Group, Hotel Panorama is a prominent example of their veteran experience in hotel service lasting three decades. And the view of Hong Kong is exactly as advertised; its multi-story height (one of the tallest skyscrapers in Hong Kong) combined with its strategic location at southern Kowloon affords a most magnificent view of Victoria Harbour. And the experience is further enhanced by the Panorama’s splendid amenities and creature comforts. Not for nothing is it one of the best hotels to stay in Hong Kong. Travel review website TripAdvisor even awarded the Panorama its Award of Excellence from 2012 to 2016. You’re guaranteed that a stay there will be in of itself a Journey to Remember.
The Hotel Panorama has nine types of accommodation, with a total of 324 rooms of increasing size and quality, as well as twelve divinely-appointed suites. Their guestrooms range from Silver to Gold level, for double occupancy at least to family size at most. Pet owners need not worry for their friends due to the Panorama’s pet-friendly facilities. Every guestroom has a complimentary smartphone according unlimited calls both local and international (for selected countries), as well as unlimited Wi-Fi internet. They also have LED TVs (32-inch for the Silver rooms, 42-inch elsewhere) with cable access and in-house movie channels.
Silver rooms on the 7th-15th floors have twin beds while Gold rooms on the 16th-22nd have a choice of twin beds, a Queen or King Bed. Families can avail of the Panorama’s family rooms (Silver and Gold, on the corresponding floors) which both have two double beds. Furthermore, if they book family rooms on the official website they can avail of complimentary 4-person buffet breakfasts at Café Express for the duration of their stay.
For guests with the Rhombus Club card membership, they have the enviable choice of staying at the Harbor View Rooms. Basic rooms of this vein are at the 23rd to 30th floors where the view of Victoria Harbour gets really good. Executive Club Harbor View rooms are from the 31st to 37th floors that are exclusively accessed through their super-fast “Bullet Lift”. The best however would have to be the Executive suites with separate living and sleeping space. All Club guests have access to the Rhombus Club Executive Lounge, while Executive room and suite guests may use the Club Board Room.
Dining is also an experience all its own at the Hotel Panorama. Its best foot forward would have to be the AVA Restaurant Slash Bar (38th floor) with its international and seasonal menu, its stock of wines, champagnes and cocktails, all enhanced by the 270° Harbour View. Back down in the lobby is the Café Express for all-day buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a la carte menu. Not far away is the Sweet Corner for guests craving cakes and pastry on top of their meals.
Like any good luxury hotel, the Panorama caters to special events like weddings and business conventions. Have your nuptials done in an epic scale on the rooftop Sky Garden, feast away at the reception down at the AVA Restaurant Slash Bar, then retire to one of the Executive Club Harbor Views which can be reconfigured as a Bridal Suite. The Rhombus Club Executive Lounge on the 39th floor offers several function rooms for seminars and business gatherings.
The Panorama never fails to impress. In addition to pets, they have special facilities and services for child care too. What’s more, children 3 years old and below can stay for free! They also have their own well-kitted fitness center where guests can keep in shape during their stay.
All these things should be proof positive enough that the Hotel Panorama by Rhombus totally lives up to its name. It’s not just the view they offer, it’s your own personal view. And it will be a stay you won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
