One particular activity showbiz fans like to do sometimes is to find and share their thoughts on celebrity resemblances. While not for everybody, the game of trying to match a star from one country to say, a celebrity in another by how much they might resemble each other, can make for fun discussions in fan circles. And perhaps even the stars in question would notice and express their opinions. For instance, since last year a big deal has been made on the similarities between ABS-CBN actress Liza Soberano and Nancy McDonie, member of K-Pop girl group MOMOLAND. Interestingly, the two have not actually met one another until this past Tuesday.

Inquirer.net reports that Liza Soberano and Nancy McDonie, alleged to look quite similar to one another for quite some time now, finally got to meet face to face during the Christmas Special presentation by ABS-CBN, which was held December 10 at the Araneta Coliseum. Both Soberano and MOMOLAND were present there as featured performers, seeing as the Kapamilya network both has partial management responsibility over the latter with their MLD label, as well as a Dreamscape-produced tele-serye for McDonie, who will costar with James Reid.

Nice meeting you Liza

Nancy was quick to share a photo of herself and Liza on social media following their first-ever meeting. The K-Pop idol was first made aware by Filipino fans online of her being a dead ringer for the ABS-CBN star since back in April of 2018. It was simply amazing that the two have never actually met up until this December at the ABS-CBN Christmas special, despite MOMOLAND having made repeat visits to the Philippines before then. Of course, now that they have, Soberano has taken advantage of posing not just with McDonie but the rest of the group as well. She is a K-Pop fan who once danced MOMOLAND’s “Bhoom Bhoom,” footage of which was praised by Nancy last year.
