When ABS-CBN lost its chance at a franchise renewal in Congress and was forced off the air last year, a number of its talents and management personnel decided to part ways with the Kapamilyas and forge their own paths to the future. Some of them made their way to TV5 where (before it formed closer ties with ABS-CBN to air some of the latter’s programming this 2021) they tried their hand at producing new shows to feature in at the Kapatid network. Star Magic veteran Maja Salvador was among these, but now she feels the time has come to take her own future in hand.

Inquirer.net has it that Maja Salvador has gone freelance as an actress. Not only has she started her own management label for herself, she is ready to do the same for other talents. Salvador announced the launch of her talent company, Crown Artist Management Inc., on her social media this past Monday, March 15. She expressed her excitement at this new chapter in her life and career, and is looking forward to see where she will go, particularly with her current network TV5. This marks the end of Maja’s almost 20 years under Star Magic.

Salvador notes that she started Crown Artist Management with people she deems close to her heart, in order to take what she feels is her best course of action in the entertainment industry right now: to manage herself. She did not however forget her dues to ABS-CBN and Star Magic, which molded her skills and abilities to the way they are now. It should be recalled that in recent years Maja headlined some major Kapamilya tele-seryes such as “Wildflower” and “The Killer Bride,” cementing her character role as a feminine but ruthless figure of vengeance.

Following the network shutdown of ABS-CBN, Maja Salvador joined former Star Magic manager Johnny Manahan in the initial Kapamilya exodus to TV5. She was part of a short-lived Manahan-produced Sunday variety show “Sunday Noontime Live!” which was eventually replaced by a simulcast of “ASAP Natin ‘To” following its last airing. Maja is set to star in an upcoming Kapatid TV drama, “Niña Niño,” which will premiere on TV5, April 12.
