Sometimes, celebrities just catch you off guard with the things they do. Now, unless one has access to cable or digital TV then it might be a chore to catch a glimpse of Kapamilya stalwart Angel Locsin whose latest small-screen outing is as host of the show “Iba ‘Yan.” Follow her on social media though and you would know that as of June 2019 she has been engaged to film producer Neil Arce. Having a wedding during the pandemic might have been a daunting prospect, but not for these two, after they managed to sneak their marriage into a house-moving video they posted on Saturday.
Inquirer.net has it that Angel Locsin is now Angel Locsin-Arce, after marrying her fiancé Neil Arce in a civil wedding ceremony this past August 7. First, their joint YouTube channel had a video titled “Lipat Bahay Gang,” in which the two captured the bustle of the two of them moving to their new shared house with the help of some friends. It seemed only natural, considering they were engaged for two years now. But in the final seconds of the video they put in one money shot: a picture from their civil wedding punctuated with the words: “We got married!”
Just in case some of their fans remain a little bit in shock about the whole thing, Angel and Neil would then blitz social media with more photos of themselves on their surprise wedding day, all posted on Locsin’s Instagram page on August 8. It seems having to cancel their November 2020 wedding date because COVID-19 was still around finally spurred them to just go for the direct and simple approach. “I am so happy that we got to make you happy through our channel yesterday,” writes Angel on the caption. In the eyes of her loyal fans, they did.
